This one is about a little medical concern/worry I'm having. Cut for those who don't like gory details. I mostly just want to lay this out somewhere so I can look it up if I forget a piece of it.

So, I'm going to be brief and just list the symptoms of the last few days:

Loss of appetite
Feeling of fullness after small amounts of food consumed
Painful/frequent urination
Digestive strangeness (audible digestion? Very audible? GURGLE GURGLE GURGLE...)
Strange pain in the abdomen
More acute pain lower in the abdomen (left ovary?) when I poke it or exercise

I went to the clinic last night and had a urinalysis done.

There was a small amount of blood in the urine, and the white cell count was a tad elevated. Not enough to really explain the level of UTI symptoms I was having. The doc poked around but didn't find the "sweet" spot on my ovary. (I hadn't yet, either) He prescribed me some anti-biotics but didn't look all that convinced. His demeanor and the massive amounts of papers with possible diagnoses I left with point to him being fairly worried it's not just a straight-forward UTI.

That night my insides were rumbling (Tegan told me to be quiet kind of rumbling, and not like hunger growls) and I was poking around because it was weird, and I accidentally poked what I assume to be my ovary. I have had ovarian cysts before, many times. They do not have stabbing pain for two hours after you poke them. At least, not in my experience.

So um, yeah, I'm probably fine. I probably have a cyst and a UTI, right?

My current plan is to keep an eye on my temp (that was the other thing you don't usually hear when you have a UTI - check your temp 4 times a day for the next week?) and wait and see if a) the UTI symptoms stay gone with the antibiotics and b) if the cyst pain goes away when I'm done ovulating. Another thing worth noting is that my last period was no worse than usual pain-wise, but it was, well, chunkier than normal.

The symptoms could point to several things:

1. UTI and Cyst combo
2. Endometriosis (my sister had this)
3. Fibroids
4. Ovarian Cancer

Let's just hope it's number one, right?

For those of you following along at home, I had tests and more tests today. All signs point to endometriosis.
