So, I'm doing a very weird experiment. For some reason I have been listening to a LOT of Depeche Mode lately, and thinking a fair amount about their progression and how they have evolved over time. Etc. So, I thought I would put a playlist together that showed that a bit - one song from every album. I ended up wanting to break it down into upbeat songs and more downtempo pieces - I would say ballads but let's be honest, they only have like 2 or so songs that really count as ballads. The list isn't my *favorite* songs, necessarily, but it's also not the "most popular" either. I picked the songs that I felt outlined their abilities and sort of overall feel at the time. I'm not so sure about the 'slow' list, and am certainly open to suggestions on either list from anyone who is so inclined.

Don't ask why I wanted to do this, I'm just weird.
